This is my job

Okay… I have to write a user guide for some software that I can’t look at because it’s not online anywhere yet, primarily because the programmers haven’t finished creating it. And I have to have this guide done by Friday, approximately the same time the software will be done.
For my resources in this creative writing [...]

Yeah, baby!

Random things are random

1. Around 12:30 I accepted the complete futility of being at work and fled to the Freer Gallery of Art and wandered around there for a while. It was pleasant. The Arts of the Islamic World was my favorite collection. I love Arabic calligraphy. It’s beautiful. I love how mosques have Arabic calligraphy covering their [...]

Thanksgiving morning

Apple Yam Casserole cooked? Check.
Verdict: Yum! Oh, how I love that stuff. Recipe below. Give it a try. That much sugar and butter can’t go wrong. Use a large dish, though, because it bubbles over abundantly while cooking.

NaNoWriMo Update – A Strong Start

The NaNoWriMo widgets are finally functional! So I’ve added one right at the top of my sidebar on the left. Check out the shiny!
So far I’m up to 8,816 words. Assuming disaster does not strike today, I’ll easily pass the 10,000-word mark this evening.
Oh how I love creative writing. It feels like flying.

Random Capitalization is WRONG

People, people, people….
So I’m putting together an instruction, as requested by the one of my sort-of supervisors. It’s an easy thing, a pleasant task. I’m using info from several other documents for part of it, and he went through and added comments to a couple of them. Fine and dandy.
Except at one spot. He wants [...]
